"I was priviledged to know the Kilander family through their incredible daughter, Carly.  Her high school graduation picture sits on the desk in my office.  It makes me smile every day.
This book points out so clearly that the impact of one's life is not measured by achievement, length, wealth or notoriety, but by how one's life touches the lives of others.  Carly Kilander was a special person..."

"This book will pull at your heart and soul as you read how Scott and Kim Kilander lived through their daughter's final years of a losing battle with cancer.  This is not light reading but it is a book of hope.  It will make you see your children in a new light and appreciate every minute you have with them.  I was moved to tears many times as I identified with the pain Scott experienced as he watched his precious Carly slip into eternity..."

A Journey of Faith

I began to write this book while seated in a tower, operating a rock-crushing plant.  It's a noisy, dusty and dirty place, but the Lord often speaks to me here.  This story is about my daughter Carly and the trials that my wife Kim, son Adam, and I went through.  For me, it was also a time when I grew much closer to God and experienced His love in ways that I could not have imagined. So, while the book is about Carly, I would like to share some of the times when God has overshadowed my life with His care and protection.
